Leather, 24 carat gold-plated brass, stones
Couture jewelry is made from a brass alloy coated with gold or palladium silver. These metals do not like to get wet, and oils or sweat can cause them to tarnish more quickly. The lifespan of your Sonia Petroff jewelry depends on the care you give it.
Avoid wearing your jewelry in mineral baths, spas, hot tubs and swimming pools. Remove your jewelry before washing your hands, exercising or going to bed
Before putting on jewelry, make sure lotions, perfumes and makeup have been absorbed into the skin.
Apply all hair products, especially hairspray, before putting on your jewelry.
Avoid extreme temperatures as they can affect stones and even metal
Before storing your jewelry, make sure it is dry, as moisture accelerates the tarnishing process.
Ideally, store them in a soft-lined box or pouch. Try to separate the pieces to avoid them rubbing or getting tangled. Clean them gently with a soft cloth. Avoid soaps and chemicals.
