Shinobu Marotta had a career as a graphic designer before finding her calling in fine jewelry. When she founded Talkative in Japan in 2008, she sought to create something that didn't yet exist: precious but wearable jewelry, joyful without being frivolous, graphic without being cold. Lito: Athens, 1999, from €1000
After studying sculpture at the Beaux-Arts and training in jewelry in Paris, Lito Karakostanoglou worked for houses like Jean-Paul Gaultier and Kenzo before returning to Athens to found her eponymous brand at the turn of the millennium. Since then, her workshop-boutique, Cabinet of Curiosities, nestled in the heart of Kolonaki, has become a cult destination. Her universe blends Art Nouveau, Art Deco, surrealism, and Greek mythology in entirely handmade pieces. Her signature eye motif is one of the most recognizable symbols in global designer jewelry. Fascinated by stones and their energies since always, Céline D'Aoust naturally settled in Jaipur, India, where she developed her universe in contact with the best artisans. What makes her unique? She celebrates the natural inclusions and "imperfections" of tourmalines: these frostings, these clouds, these internal flashes that others hide, she makes them the brand's signature. A former professional in the naval defense industry, Violette Basentsyan left everything to follow her love for the marine world and precious stones. From Marseille and Jaipur, where she works with exceptional artisans, she sculpts octopuses, fish, squids, and starfish from breathtakingly beautiful multi-colored tourmalines and aquamarines.
